With that said. I ordered a kit that had the tool mentioned above. I promptly put a TEAR in that first seal. Went to the dealer (had to borrow the wife's car for that) and paid $50 for another. Tore that one too. Went to Auto zone and got a THIRD one.
Point of the story is - of the 3 seals only two had the tool included. I have two and would be happy to send you one if you want to wait. I will even pay postage so you don't have to pay the $50 for the whole thing. PM me and let me know. They say that education cost money. I find that is true.

Keep the plastic installation sleeve! I got the timing cover/case all cleaned up, nice bead of rtv, seal successfully placed over crank and. I got distracted and forgot to torque the timing case bolts Don't attempt to put the seal on w/o the plastic sleeve, it won't work. Got another OEM Cummins seal off fleabay for $15.
