My LG tv did this when an automatic software update failed to install properly. I was going crazy thinking my new TV was dying already.but as it turns out, LG Customer Service helped me undo the bad installation with a simple re-set of the TV (On LG it was called reset to 'Initial Setting', basically a factory reset). It is possible that you have also gotten a bad update and a simple reset might fix it. You have a problem with your TV. Given that this is an Insignia TV, which is basically a bargain brand, it would not be uncommon for the TV to be failing after only 2 months.
