I understand that expensive Bosch equip is needed to program pump, also the main ECU will adopt the virgin pump if ignition switched on for a period and left to synchronise. But is it just a case of clearing DTC's /fault codes to put the pump into a virgin state? Any Brains out there? Also, faulty fuel pump relay can cause this code. Please swap fuel pump relay with horn relay in fuse panel and see if truck will run. • P1690 (Fuel Injection Pump does not agree with ECM CKP Sensor)-on 1998.5 and 1999 trucks suspect faulty Crank Position sensor.
