It would also suit those in early post-graduate studies. It can be viewed as either a standalone volume or as a component in a cosmology course. The text is clear and well-illustrated and contains plenty of examples with answers.However the pace of advance in cosmology (particularly observational cosmology) is such that the book is now in need of an update. This would probably entail an additional section or two on gravitational waves, large scale radio emissions from galaxies and their interpretation.
